The Department of Criminology and Sociology is situated within the School of Social Sciences and is home to a diverse and multi-disciplinary team and has a track record of success in research, knowledge exchange, teaching and public engagement.  

 

The advertised position is an exciting opportunity to join an established and innovative provider of Criminology programmes including: BA (Hons) Criminology; BA (Hons) Criminology and Security Studies and BA (Hons) Criminology, Policing and Investigation.  The successful applicant will be required to teach across our portfolio of programmes, and an ability to teach quantitative research methods would be desirable. As well as teaching, assessing and supporting students on Criminology modules at undergraduate and postgraduate level the candidate will also be expected to be actively involved in research, scholarship and/or knowledge-transfer activities, and contribute to one of our Research Centres within the School of Social Sciences.  

 

Candidates should possess a first and higher degree in a relevant subject area, and if not already in possession of a doctorate qualification, candidates should be close to completion, pending viva/examination within the next 6 months.
