The Department for Children and Young People’s Health is seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Children’s Nurse to fill our post of Lecturer. As a Lecturer you will lead in a variety of teaching sessions developing and applying innovative and appropriate teaching and learning techniques which create interest, understanding and enthusiasm amongst students. You will ensure the efficient and effective delivery of teaching programmes in accordance with the University’s strategy, policy and procedures, contribute to activities which influence leading edge practice and may also undertake research activity. You must be highly motivated, well organised with excellent communication and organisational skills. We welcome applicants from all specialities and from both hospital and community services.

Applicants must hold a first degree and have current registration with the NMC as a Registered Children’s Nurse. Experience of teaching either in clinical practice or a HEI setting is essential, with a teaching qualification desirable. Successful applicants will if necessary be fully funded and supported through our own teacher training apprenticeship, including full support for study attendance, and the allocation of a dedicated mentor to support them through the learning requirements.
