Part time 17.5 hours per week (0.5 FTE), Fixed Term for 6 months

A position is available in the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Southampton for a Research Fellow in Qualitative Methods.  The position is based at Aldermoor Health Centre in the School of Primary Care, Population Sciences and Medical Education. The post holder will be working on a systematic review and qualitative study. 

The post holder will contribute to the systemic review, and be responsible for recruitment of participants, carrying out interviews on the telephone, and analysis of data. This programme of work is funded by the NIHR School for Primary Care Research. 

You will be educated to degree level and must have a PhD or equivalent professional qualification and experience in qualitative research. You will be able to work to deadlines and manage your time independently. You will possess excellent organisational skills. Previous experience of qualitative research and in particular interviewing participants is essential. This post is offered part time for a period of 6 months and is available from 1st June 2020.

Applications for Research Fellow positions will be considered from candidates who are working towards or nearing completion of a relevant PhD qualification.  The title of Research Fellow will be applied upon successful completion of the PhD.  Prior to the qualification being awarded the title of Senior Research Assistant will be given.
