Senior Solutions Architect (007220-R)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the University of Surrey IT Services as a Senior Solutions Architect.  This role will act as the conduit between customer project requests and project delivery, reviewing requests and developing viable and cost effective solutions from your knowledge of the existing IT portfolio as well as the wider market.

The post holder will be responsible for analysing the technology landscape, business challenges and opportunities, mapping out current and future technology landscapes, and identifying a range of solution options, as well as for designing and scoping any technical elements of the chosen solution and for facilitating project approval and initiation.

You will be an experienced IT solutions architect, with strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate technical proposals and solutions to customers and projects teams.  You will see solutions through from design and documentation to the start of implementation and work with colleagues both within and outside IT to achieve this.

You will also advise colleagues wishing to develop new project initiatives of the pre-project journey by answering and responding to queries and advising on the development of business cases.
