Birmingham City University is a large and diverse place to study right in the heart of the city and we currently have an exciting opportunity for two Graduate+ Project Officers to join our dynamic Graduate+ team. The full-time role will suit a recent BCU graduate who knows of the service, believes in the 'I am BCU' community and has a keen desire to develop themselves and fellow students within the role.

These exciting roles will form part of the Graduate+ team where you will be integral to the  delivery, support and evaluation of the University’s highly successful Award programme as endorsed by AdvancedHE in 2019. Event planning and direct delivery to students and staff, organisation and a broad range of administrative duties will form the majority of the work. These roles will evolve and develop as your strengths become apparent; a flexible approach therefore is also required as you will gain so much from this experience. The successful candidates will be exposed to a number of important projects, activities and events and offers the chance to apply theoretical skills developed via academic study.  Particular focus will be on the range of activities associated with BCU Graduate+ and other student facing events as deemed appropriate.

The post holder’s must be a recent BCU graduate and will be part of a vibrant and positive student engagement team which will have a fluid population of student and staff partners.  This will mean that the post holder will engage with a wide variety of students and staff with very different interests; making the role an exciting one for a person who is willing to be open to new perspectives and experiences.  

The Successful Candidate Will Have

A recent degree obtained at BCU

Knowledge & understanding of student engagement and employability activities at the University 

Experience of forming and sustaining effective working relationships and networks.

Experience of the broad range of Social Media platforms and the understanding of differing levels of impact

Experience of event planning and working towards deadlines          

Practical and Intellectual Skills with a special ability through Digital skills 

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Proven project management skills.
