The School of Environment and Technology prides itself on providing a welcoming, supportive and positive working environment. We are seeking to appoint a lecturer or senior lecturer with expertise in BIM (Building Information Modelling) to join our staff team in the Built Environment Subject Area.

You will have a track record of applied practical/professional expertise and knowledge of relevant BIM software packages; with a comprehensive knowledge and appreciation of relevant sustainability, as well as health and safety requirements and hold full membership to a UK architecture, building or construction PSRB; have completed, or be near to completing, a PhD would be an advantage. Additionally, you will have a high-quality professional practice/research profile (consistent with career stage) and evidence supporting the potential to develop externally funded consultancy/research programmes.

Essential to this post is a commitment to high quality learning and teaching across all levels of Higher Education, including fieldwork/field trips within the UK.  A significant proportion of our Built Environment degree programmes are team-taught, making an ability to work flexibly as an individual and team member essential.

As the successful applicant, you will become a member of the Construction Engineering and Management (ConEM) Research Group, and will have access to world class laboratories and field equipment within the School. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to other research and consultancy areas across the School.  If appropriate, you will be supported to gain an accredited UK teaching qualification.

Informal enquiries contact Dr Philip Ashton (p.ashton@brighton.ac.uk) or Call (01273) 642388.

This post is full-time (1.00 full-time equivalent) and is on a permanent basis.
