The ExPERT (Expertise for Professionalism in Education, Research and Teaching) Academy is the University’s School of Higher Education Studies. We support the development of higher education research and practice.

This role will be part of a University wide approach to transform its pedagogical model of learning and teaching from a mainly face-to-face mode of delivery to an Online Learning Plus. The postholder will be part of a larger team led by the PVC Academic and the Head of the ExPERT Academy, which includes 8 Learning Designers, 8 Subject Champions and 4 Academic Leads. The postholder will be engaging with state-of-the-art technology such as Microsoft Office365, Adobe Creative Cloud, Blackboard Learn Ultra, Blackboard Ally, Panopto and CampusPress. 

Associated to a specific School, the postholder will enable course teams and individual members of staff across Schools to design and redesign their courses based on our new UWLFlex pedagogical model. It will recreate and improve online learning content and activities aiming to ensure they are inclusive, engaging and exciting for all our students; and will work at a subject level developing creative ways to respond to challenges in the transition from face-to-face delivery to an online delivery.

The post holder will have previous experience working with virtual learning environments to improve the user experience, they will have a good grasp of technology and be able to pick up new tools quickly. They will be acutely organised and be able to meet tight project deadlines. They will have good communication skills and use tact when relying on others to meet deadlines.

This is a Fixed Term Post to end in February 2021.
