We are seeking to appoint a fixed-term Lecturer (Teaching) in Culture, Media and Sport/Sociology of Sport in The Department for Health. The successful applicant will primarily contribute to undergraduate programmes on the BSc Sport Management and Coaching. We attract forward-thinking and dynamic students. This through our strong reputation in sports-related research that advises our teaching, and the opportunity to study at a university renowned for promoting and facilitating sporting excellence; the University was named Sports University of the Year in 2018 we are currently ranked 11th in the 2020 QS World Rankings for Sport-related subjects.

You will join a team of lecturers delivering a suite of units across programmes. You will be encouraged to lead in teaching and supervision related to topics related to some of the following; sport and mega-events; sport/health, new media and society (e.g. social media, digital technologies); sport and big data; physical activity and social movements; physical activity, health and the body. You will be asked to undertake other roles in teaching support such as personal tutoring, dissertation supervision, course development and other administrative activities as they arise. 

This is a fixed term position (36.5 hours, full time) of 5 months to cover a period of temporary absence, with a proposed start date of 1st September 2020.
