Description :

Internal applicants only

We are seeking to appoint 2 Lecturers (Teaching) on a part-time, open-ended basis.   We are looking for outstanding individuals who are keen to develop a role in academia which may also complement the continued development of a clinical role.

The launch of the new MPharm undergraduate programme at the University of Bath has led to an innovative new curriculum and significant changes in the design, development and delivery of learning for student pharmacists. This part-time permanent appointment will work with the Pharmacy Practice teaching team to support the teaching and learning of our MPharm students across a range of units.

The successful individuals would be required to cover a range of face to face teaching activities and elements of assessment. There is also a requirement to support the academic development of the programme and to provide pastoral support to individual students including supporting problem based learning. This role would also look to support students with career choice and pre-reg applications.

These posts are on a 0.4FTE appointment to internal candidates only and would suit a pharmacist wishing to further develop a role in academia. We welcome applicants who wish to do this as a part-time role,  but who wish to maintain a clinical commitment in their non-University hours or also those who may wish for support in looking for partner organisations to make this post full-time.

For more information about the role, please review the job description below and contact Lyn Hanning, Director of Practice Based Learning (L.Hanning@bath.ac.uk).
