Description :

Are you a highly experienced leader, with experience of working at a senior level in the health and social care and/or academic sectors? Do you have outstanding relationship skills, with a proven record of overseeing largescale transformation programmes? Would you like to help us deliver exciting programmes that work with the people of Leeds to drive research and innovation, improve care, and make a difference?

This is a unique, exciting and challenging role.

Leeds is committed to reducing health inequalities and, by 2030, to becoming the best city in the UK for health and wellbeing. Leeds Academic Health Partnership - one of the biggest of its kind in the UK - plays a central role in realising those ambitions.

Leeds Academic Health Partnership brings together leading expertise from three of the city’s universities, all of the city’s NHS organisations and Leeds City Council. Our wider membership includes the Yorkshire and Humber Academic Health Science Network, Yorkshire Cancer Research, St Gemma’s Hospice and Leeds City College.

Our vision is that the people of Leeds live healthier lives for longer. Working with our partners, we help bring to life approaches which

improve the quality, efficiency and sustainability of health and care services

drive economic growth that improves skills, jobs and wealth for everyone

narrow the gap in the health and wellbeing between people in deprived and those in more affluent communities.

As our new Managing Director, you will be pivotal in shaping and leading the next phase of our work, building on our pioneering foundations. You’ll need to think big, maintain a clear vision and have well-tuned political antennae.

You’ll be a highly experienced leader with a passion to further galvanise our partnership and drive forward our unique and transformational citywide endeavour.

The closing date is currently set as 26 June 2020, but this will be kept under review and may be extended due to COVID-19.
