The University of Surrey is a top ten UK University set in a beautiful campus half an hour’s journey from London.  Surrey is rated highly for teaching, the University has a Gold TEF award, and the School of Psychology was rated 10th in the 2020 Guardian league tables.  Are you looking for an opportunity to join  a dynamic and  innovative training programme. We are looking for a teaching fellow to support Clinical psychology training programme from September 2020. The candidate will have a doctorate degree in clinical psychology, will be registered with HCPC and have worked within the NHS.  As the Training programme has a BABCP accredited pathway, having a Level 2 qualification would be an advantage.  The post holder will contribute to the development of the clinical competency of the trainees alongside contributing to the academic elements of the programme. Depending on interest the postholder will also be invited to contribute to the research undertaken by the trainees.

The PsychD Clinical Psychology programme sits in the Department of Psychological Interventions within the School of Psychology. The Department of Psychological Interventions incorporates a mix of clinical and research active staff with a commitment to releasing individuals’ potential across the life course; addressing inequalities, health and wellbeing; embracing changing societies, environments and communities; intervening to support vital, healthy and creative lives; creating innovative assessment and interventions. We actively encourage interdisciplinary work and have many cross-discipline links. We  would actively welcome applicants  from minority groups to apply . The School is part of the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences and we have access to high quality facilities. We have on-site EEG, tDCS and TMS laboratories, a driving simulator, psychophysiological and eye-tracking facilities, XR simulation labs and dedicated off site access to an fMRI scanner. The Faculty also houses the Surrey Sleep Research Centre with its state-of-the-art sleep laboratories.

As a small team, we are looking for a highly motivated individuals with a creative and collegiate approach to Psychology, and we welcome applicants who are confident in their clinical competence.
