As part of the Automation team, you will be supporting and designing complex Infrastructure systems and solutions that are essential to the University core operations.  

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate resourcefulness, initiative and understand the value of delivering reliable and stable services with clear and concise documentation. You will be working as part of a team of highly motivated individuals who are committed to achieving deadlines and customer satisfaction. 

In particular, we are looking for candidates who have demonstrable skills in the following:

Skill level equivalent to achievement of a professional qualification or postgraduate degree in a relevant technical, engineering or science subject. 

Experience of developing and managing enterprise scale infrastructure services.  

Experience using infrastructure-as-code based technologies such as Puppet, Chef and Desired State Configuration.  

Experience in programming in one or more of the following: • Python • Ruby • Go • Pearl 

Experience delivering and working with: • Cloud services • VMWare • Enterprise Network services • Security by design • Authentication  • International service delivery • Storage and backup • Process and system automation

iSolutions is one of the largest departments within the University’s Professional Services Group and provides all aspects of ICT to the University.
