The Role

An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, innovative children’s nursing educator to join our team of dedicated academics to support the delivery of courses in nursing and healthcare at UG and PG level. The academic team, together with the support of administrative and technical staff, deliver programmes to student nurses, nursing associate and post registration nursing students across our London and Reading campuses. Essential to this position will be the ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships with healthcare providers in Berkshire, North Hampshire, Surrey, and West London. 

The Person

The successful candidate will have strong knowledge in the specialist area of children’s nursing. An understanding of the NMC (2018) Future Nurse: Standards of Proficiency for Registered Nurses is essential. Candidates should demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills to work collaboratively with students, other academics, clinical practitioners, and with our support and technical staff. You will be expected to support the development and delivery of learning material that is relevant, evidence-based and current, in order to maintain the high quality of learning and teaching associated with the college. Applicants must be registered with the NMC as a children’s nurse and hold a First degree in a relevant subject. You will also be expected to complete a recognised teaching qualification for Higher Education if you do not already hold this.
