This is a great time to join the HR&OD team.  The Service plays a pivotal role in creating a working environment for our staff which is supportive, stimulating, informative and is a great place to work.We’re currently expanding the team and a number of posts designed to contribute and play a key role in the further development of the service, whilst at the same time providing an opportunity for you to make a real impact in using and developing your professional skills.  

As an experienced generalist HR practitioner, you’ll provide support and advice on a broad range of HR and recruitment activities throughout the employee lifecycle which includes recruitment, contractual queries, flexible working, HR policies and procedures, with a particular focus on guiding and advising on our sickness absence management process.   As part of a small team, in this "hands on" role you’ll the first point of contact for stakeholders seeking advice and guidance on a range of employment issues.    Working alongside the HR administration and recruitment team, you’ll also support the development of streamlined and digitally focussed processes throughout the employee lifecycle.  

A proficient multi-tasker with the ability to manage a diverse workload, you will work effectively under pressure within a very busy environment, with minimum supervision. You will be capable of using your initiative to resolve queries but will know when to seek advice and will work effectively in a team to support colleagues. You’ll be an effective communicator who is able to guide and influence managers, providing effective and pragmatic advice and solutions.  We need someone who is a team player but who is also capable of working independently.  You must be able to build and maintain good working relationships with a range of stakeholders from across our academic and professional services areas.
