This is a pivotal role supporting the strategic direction of the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Statistical Applied Mathematics (SAMBa) through managing delivery of a diverse set of activities in a supportive and entrepreneurial environment.

You will have a creative and open-minded approach to programme delivery, a keen desire to provide exceptional training for postgraduate students, and a passion for scientific research and innovation. Diversity and inclusion are incredibly important values of the SAMBa centre, and so you will need to demonstrate an ability to integrate people from multiple backgrounds, and work effectively with those with different perspectives to solve problems and deliver new initiatives.

You will be working closely with the SAMBa Co-Directors, academic supervisors, coordination staff, and our industrial and international partners, as well as providing an essential pastoral role to 80-100 PhD students.

This is a full-time role on a fixed term contract for 48 months.

We are happy to explore strategies for flexible working including part time (to a minimum of 80%), job sharing and non-standard working patterns. However, there will be occasional times (such as during the biannual Integrative Think Tanks) when the post-holder will be required to work additional hours, including evenings.
