Sie nutzen Streumethoden wie Diffraktion und Kleinwinkelstreuung mit Neutronen zur Charakterisierung von Ni-Basis Superlegierungen (VDM Alloy 780). In diesem interdisziplinären Projekt werden Ausscheidungen in den Legierungen unter Zug– und Druckbelastung mittels einer neuartigen Prüfmaschine mittels Beugungsmethoden charakterisiert.
