About the Job

The major role (at least in the first instance) will be as a seminar tutor, working with groups of students on one of our psychology modules. Teaching on a module is normally focused on a specific day, with seminars either one or two hours, and we guarantee at least two hours on the same day. The role will also involve marking of student work, and, where appropriate, detailed feedback and/or marking. Support will be provided by the appropriate lecturer at least one day in advance of the seminars, and support will also be provided for marking. Our seminars currently take place on Mondays. Tuesdays or Wednesdays, and so the posts might interest a suitably qualified individual wishing to undertake work on a particular day each week.

Rewards/Benefits

We want you to feel happy when you come to work and proud when you go home.

Hourly paid associate tutor posts are intended to augment the teaching provided by full-time academic staff, often in the form of teaching seminar and workshop groups. Associate tutors are expected to take an appropriate share of marking and moderation duties for the module to which they are assigned. The combined package for a seminar tutor and marking is ** per hour, and so a one hour slot would return ** per semester
