Description :

Staffordshire University is on a journey to become the foremost modern higher education institution in the UK, with an international reputation for excellence, and we are looking for inspirational and effective people to take us to the next stage.

In 2018 we broke into the World University rankings for the first time and were named as a top 50 UK university by the Guardian. The quality of our student experience has placed us in the top 10 for teaching quality in the Sunday Times Good University Guide 2018 and in 2019 we achieved a Gold rating in the Teaching Excellence Framework.

Many of our students come from areas with low rates of participation in higher education and we continually strive to ensure the courses we offer meet the needs of people and employers. We are expanding our non-traditional, flexible study options, particularly in apprenticeships serving the public sector.

You can join us at a time when we begin the next step of our transformation journey. The new £40m Catalyst Building will deliver 6,500 new apprentices in the next decade, boosting both the local and national economy. The development of our offer to new academic areas and geographic locations will see us expand our reach and make an innovative offer to a new generation of students.

We are a university of and for our community: local, national and global. If you share our values and have the skills to deliver our vision, we want to hear from you.

A member of the newly formed Registry Operations team, the Assessment and Awards Manager will focus on the Institutional delivery of the student assessment activity and the processes of confirming student awards, engaging with the schools and University policy to ensure excellent student and staff experience of our services.

This includes managing the exam processes, scheduling of Award Boards, the production of certification and the Higher Education Achievement Record (HEAR) and student aspects of the University Award Ceremonies.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and collaborative Manager who can inspire others and help develop our assessment and awards delivery service, connecting across the institution and with the student community.

This is a great career opportunity for those looking to expand their professional Academic Administration skills and for those looking to move into the Higher Education sector.
