About You

You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as a demonstrable understanding of student needs and concerns in relation to Higher Education. You will have the ability to develop effective and engaging relationships, across various platforms, with a wide range of stakeholders. Organised and efficient in project management, you will co-ordinate impactful recruitment activity including bespoke on-campus visits. You will be comfortable working under pressure to meet tight timescales and will inspire and motivate colleagues to maintain focus and resilience in a demanding environment. You will also be confident working without supervision and apply an innovative approach to problem solving.


About the Role

You will be part of a dynamic team and integral to the development, coordination and delivery of high quality student recruitment strategies and programmes of activity which will promote the University brand and attract high quality students to the university. You will work in a targeted fashion with a range of schools and colleges across the UK developing productive and profitable relationships. You will have a specific focus on the North West, but will also support out of region activity to increase awareness of the University in these areas and applications from individual institutions. You will co-ordinate Higher Education events, attend school and college careers and progression fairs to discuss courses, entry profiles, the University location, campus and facilities, and support decision making regarding A Level/BTEC options as well as HE applications.

Note - Due to the nature of this role and the requirement to assess your interpersonal skills, the selection process for this vacancy is in two stages. Stage one will be an online assessment to take place on the 25th November. Candidates who are successful at the first stage will proceed to stage two and will be invited to attend an interview on the 27th November.

The intention is to conduct face to face interviews on campus for the second stage of the assessment. However, due to Coronavirus restrictions, this is subject to change and may move online.
