With experience of SME business development, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others. You will also be experienced in networking, working with partners as well as project management and delivery. 

To be successful you will have a strong IT proficiency and a stringent attention to details in order to maintain accurate data. This, along with a flexible approach to work and an ability to work well both independently and within a team will quickly make you an invaluable member of our team. 

About the Role

The Faculty of Arts & Sciences is the largest and most diverse in the University, with a distinctive range of undergraduate and post graduate courses. The Faculty’s strategic approach to external engagement is led by the Enterprise, Engagement and Employability Impact (E3i) function which develops opportunities in knowledge exchange, applied research, consultancy and student-centered industry projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work specifically within the Faculty’s Enterprise, Engagement and Employability Impact (E3i) function on an exciting SME engagement project which supports the region’s productivity agenda. 

Manufacturing Connect is a joint initiative led by Edge Hill University, the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (NW), and Manchester Metropolitan University which seeks to drive up the adoption rates of productivity-boosting digital technologies in SME manufacturers.  For SME owners, Manufacturing Connect is a short, intensive scheme to help them quickly build awareness, confidence and a clear business case for investing. You will recruit and coordinate the customer journey for all the SME participants, working to exceed the target outputs for the project.
