The Faculty of Health Education and Life Sciences is looking to recruit a permanent Team Leader. You will report directly into the Head of School for Nursing & Midwifery and work closely with the Head of Course Oversight and members of the Senior Management Team and Heads of Department within the school.

As Team Leader you will focus on motivating your team to deliver a responsive, proactive, customer-focused academic administration service. Working closely with colleagues in the Faculty, the wider Department and across the University, you'll oversee the development of effective systems and processes, and establish service standards. 

The Team Leader will work with and lead their team of Course Administrators and Administrative Assistants, to provide an outstanding service to Heads of School, wider university colleagues and external stakeholders.

As Team Leader you will be responsible for managing a team who are responsible for providing the administrative support to our Nursing & Midwifery professionals. The Team Leader plays is vital to ensuring that we achieve high staff and student satisfaction.

You will have a degree level education (or equivalent experience) alongside proven administrative, IT and customer service experience within a complex environment. It is essential that you have proven experience in a leadership role with a real emphasis on people and resource management, Higher Education experience is desirable but not essential. It is a requirement of the role to have experience working within a pressurised environment, being able to work successfully to set deadlines and contractual requirements. Knowledge of student records systems is also an advantage. Furthermore you will need to demonstrate your skills and experience in developing and coaching team members to ensure that we exceed stakeholder expectations. You may have previous experience within an educational establishment, health based or NHS environment and be keen to utilise these transferable skills within Birmingham City University.
