This post is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Technician to join an established Centre for Clinical Skills and Simulation. The successful applicant will join the existing skills and simulation team supporting faculty staff and students involved in courses for the health and social care professions.

Duties include technical support for all clinical simulation areas including, but not limited to, clinic/ward/room preparation, clean up, maintenance of human patient simulators and associated computers/software, maintaining inventories of assets and maintaining storage areas. You main duty will be to support students practicing clinical skills within a designated area and other duties as assigned by the Team Leader.  As such you will maintain excellent health and safety practice in the areas where you will be working. 

This is a great opportunity to be part of a committed and friendly technical team within a dynamic forward-thinking University. We are keen to receive applications from individuals, with some experience in the clinical setting, who are motivated and able to use their own initiative.

You may have undergraduate degree in in a medical related or other health related discipline or an equivalent combination of education/experience in a technical or clinical role. The minimum qualifications include BTEC, HND, NVQ (level 3 or above) or equivalent with a minimum of GSCE maths and English language or equivalent.

The role requires a strong understanding of workplace health & safety, good communication skills and a positive attitude.
