Here in the Faculty of the Arts, Design and Media we are looking to recruit a fixed term Course Administrator to work supporting our home and international partnerships across our Schools and Institutes. You will report directly to the Team Leader within one of our schools and work closely with the school based administrative team.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to positively contribute to the student experience at Birmingham City University and who is seeking a career in the exciting world of administration in Higher Education. As a Course Administrator you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of courses and modules (postgraduate and undergraduate)  from enrolment to graduation, including delivering Examination Boards, maintaining student records, Committee clerking and providing expert advice and support to students and colleagues across the student lifecycle. You will need to develop relationships with our off site partners both in the UK and internationally

Provide excellent service to students and colleagues in support of the delivery of programmes of study.Undertake key aspects of student administration, including but not limited to: enrolment, attendance monitoring, change of circumstance, module selection, coursework submission, exam board preparation, clerking of meetings personal support arrangements and general enquiry handling. Maintain accurate student records, utilising a range of systems including SITS.Develop and maintain a good understanding of University Regulations, programme specifications and statutory monitoring and reporting requirements. Ensure that administrative processes are compliant, advising students and colleagues as necessary.

You will be educated to a degree level (or equivalent experience) coupled with proven administrative, IT and customer service experience within a complex environment. Experience in a student-facing role is desirable. You will need to be a strong team player, demonstrate intellectual curiosity be able to manage a busy workload and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in the use of the SITS student record system is desirable.
