Description :

We are looking for an HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist to develop a clinical academic career within a team committed to providing a high standard of training in clinical psychology.

Leeds has a longstanding and highly regarded clinical psychology training programme. We are a close knit, friendly and supportive team, with excellent links with clinical psychology and expert by experience colleagues in West Yorkshire. We also regularly collaborate with academic colleagues in the Institute for Health Sciences.

As a Lecturer, you will carry out scholarship and teaching activities within the programme. There is an expectation that you will help develop teaching in an area of expertise and take on doctoral research supervision of trainee projects. As an academic tutor, you will support trainees in developing critical appraisal and study skills and will also work closely with clinical tutors and support and technical staff on the team. You will also be supported in developing your own skills and interests within clinical psychology.

Leeds has an eclectic approach to different psychological therapies and research methodologies, and an emphasis on personal and professional development, reflective practice, and an appropriately critical appraisal of evidence.
