Lecturer Salary from: £33,797 per annum

Senior Lecturer Salary from: £39,152 per annum

The School of Social and Political Sciences at the University of Lincoln is seeking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Criminology to add to our existing strengths in teaching, research, and external engagement.

The School of Social and Political Sciences is an expanding department within a university that has established a reputation as one of the most dynamic and fastest growing in the UK, and was recently named as the Modern University of the Year in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2021.

The University of Lincoln hosted the annual conference of the British Society of Criminology in 2019. This is an exciting time to be joining the Criminology Team in our student-focused, collegial, and research-active School as we further develop our position as a leading centre for studying and engaging with the range of areas that make up criminology as a discipline.

The successful candidate will be able to teach core elements of the criminology curriculum, as well as having a research or practice specialism within any field of criminology. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in green criminology, criminal justice, and/or in quantitative methods, but not in preference to stronger candidates with other specialisms. Alongside teaching, staff are expected to conduct high quality research and/or engage externally, for example in professional practice and scholarly activity.

The successful candidate will seek to develop their own and the School's profile, and to enrich the academic environment and profile of the School of Social and Political Sciences, and of the College of Social Science of which it forms a part.
