Description :

To work on hardware development for experiments in particle physics. The Lancaster EPP group is working on the upgrade of the ATLAS silicon pixel detector for the High Luminosity-LHC at CERN and on long baseline neutrino physics experiments. You should have a strong interest in hardware development and are expected to contribute to R&D of both projects.

A PhD or equivalent in experimental particle physics or a related area is required. You should have experience in hardware development in the area of silicon detectors or data acquisition.

You will join us on an indefinite contract however, the role remains contingent on external funding which, at this time is for 24 months.
