The Department of Sociology is seeking to appoint 2 Teaching Senior Teaching Associates /Fellows (A3122A) or Lecturers (Teaching and Engagement) (A3122B) in Social Work to teach and be involved in the development of our Social Work programmes.⯠

You will join us on an indefinite contract and the posts will be focused upon teaching 

undergraduate social work practice in any areas of social work specialism, but we are particularly interested in qualified social workers with recent experience in practice, whether local authority or community based social work (widely defined) and of practice education. The roles will involve teaching on and developing our preparation for practice “core” modules, running skills days, and being involved with the enrichment of service user, carer and local community engagement with our social work programmes and students.

While a PhD is a desirable, candidates with a social work qualification (and Social Work England Registration) and/or other related Postgraduate Qualifications, and with teaching and/or supervision experience will be considered. There would be an opportunity to work towards teaching qualifications and/or a PhD in practice as part of your career development in post.
