Description :

You will work on the Applications theme of the "Wearable and Autonomous Computing for Future Smart Cities" EPSRC Platform Grant. This is a great opportunity to specialise in textile-based wireless power transfer, including antenna design, fabrication and testing. You will be working with hardware - constructing, testing and deploying wirelessly-powered sensor nodes. This will be targeted at case-study applications.

Where possible, outputs from other themes will be incorporated into application demonstrators.

To be successful you will have a PhD or equivalent professional qualifications and experience in antenna/rectenna design, fabrication and testing along with a detailed understanding and knowledge of antenna/rectenna design, matching/co-design, and interface circuits and experience in modelling, simulating and designing textile based RF antennas for wireless power transfer.
