Make a difference, every day, to the lives of our students.

About You

With experience of working within a buildings compliance role, you will be able to organise and lead workstreams to ensure that tasks are completed. You will have an analytical mind with a great attention to detail and be experienced in providing clear reports on large amounts of data.

To be successful, you will be able to work well as part of a team with the ability to lead others to complete necessary tasks. You will show resilience and be able to appropriately challenge where required, ensuring that suitable levels of compliance are being met.

About the Role

This is a great time to join the team, with an opportunity to develop the maturity of compliance reporting through use of the new Invida compliance software and work with teams across FM to ensure that we are able to maintain high levels of safety across the estate. You will also be involved in further initiatives to drive improvements in the way FM manages the estate to ensure that it is a safe place to be.

You will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on levels of compliance of core activities within the Edge Hill University Estate relating to Fire Safety, Water Hygiene, Asbestos, electrical and gas safety and several other areas. FM have recently invested in compliance software to assist with monitoring and reporting on compliance and you will lead on reporting through this software. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with the Estates Maintenance team in improving compliance and with other members of the Operational Risk and Environment team in improving training and ensuring staff in other faculties and departments are supported to carry out their own responsibilities safely.

Rewards/Benefits

You will benefit from 25 days annual leave plus 13 bank holiday and University closure days per annum. We aim to provide our staff with a positive work life balance and have a range of schemes in place to support this. Your continued professional development is as important to us as it is to you and we demonstrate this through our investment in your CPD activity.

You will be automatically enrolled into the Local Government Pension Scheme and have access to our staff benefits platform, which provides you with discounts across the high street to help you save money on your everyday spending such as supermarket shopping, cinema tickets, dining out and more. We also offer discounted membership to our state-of-the-art sport and leisure facilities.
