About You 

You will have an established international reputation as an outstanding researcher and/or practitioner in one of the fields relevant to the Institute for Creative Enterprise (ICE), and you will engage with academic and professional networks through active membership of associations, societies, industry or policy contacts and professional bodies. You will have the ability to integrate research and teaching, and have demonstrable experience of close collaborative working with other academics and professionals outside academia, evidenced through successful experience of joint working on funded research and/or knowledge exchange projects.

To be successful, you will have an extensive national and international network in academic or cultural fields to facilitate events, research collaboration, knowledge exchange and student opportunities at ICE.

About the Role

ICE seeks two creative, knowledgeable, and committed individuals with good people skills to work with external partners and Edge Hill colleagues to grow research and knowledge exchange activity in our cognate subjects.

ICE seeks to appoint an Associate Director (Practice) from within a practice-based research area and an Associate Director (Theory, History and Policy) from a humanities or social science discipline. The Associate Directors will be expected to commit 0.2 FTE  to the work of ICE.

ICE is Edge Hill University's hub for connecting ideas and people within the University to the creative and digital economy. We work with cultural organisations and academics partners locally, nationally and internationally. As Associate Director, working with colleagues and external collaborators, you will have the opportunity to develop your own programmes of research and to develop the research culture across Edge Hill University.

These roles are a secondment opportunity and are only available to internal candidates currently employed by Edge Hill University.
