Applications are invited for the above post based at the Medical Education Centre, School of Medicine, QMC, travel to other sites where the University of Nottingham Medicine course is delivered will be also required.  

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the governance and establishment of the programme of clinical teaching for the BMBS medicine course, based in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire clinical hubs. They will monitor the academic progress of up to 1200 clinical medical students placed in the region’s Local Education Providers (LEPs) at any one time. They will be part of a team of clinical academics leading innovations in teaching and learning in these regions.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of the Clinical Course, who is leading the development of a new clinical curriculum scheduled for implementation in February 2022. The post holder will be required to ensure standardisation of the curriculum delivered across sites and manage quality assurance to satisfy the requirements of the GMC.

Candidates must be medically qualified with a current licence to practise and a CCT. They must have a higher qualification in medical education and extensive experience in leading the design of UG teaching and educational programmes, assessment techniques and methods.

This post is offered on a permanent contract and is part time, working 20 hours per week.
