This is an exciting opportunity to join a world-leading research group focussed on mental health recovery and wellbeing. It would particularly suit someone with strong administrative skills who enjoys working hard in an active, high-expectation environment with friendly colleagues, and has an ability to manage a busy and complex role. 

The post-holder will be part of the School of Health Sciences and will based at the Institute of Mental Health on University of Nottingham Innovation Park. The Institute of Mental Health is a partnership between Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and the University of Nottingham. 

The Recovery Research Team is led by Mike Slade, Professor of Mental Health Recovery and Social Inclusion. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to Prof Slade and all members of the Recovery Research Team, in order to assist with all aspects of the research, collaboration and knowledge mobilisation activities of the team. The role is diverse and varied, so shifting and prioritising between ongoing projects will be a key skill. For example, on the same day you may be helping to organise an international conference, co-ordinating meetings for Prof Slade, overseeing systems for health research processes, creating an induction programme for a visiting academic, processing expenses and updating our website (researchintorecovery.com).  

Candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills and will be required to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders including people with lived experience of mental health problems. Candidates must also have considerable administrative experience, preferably in a Higher Education and/or health research environment role, and experience of working in complex systems and navigating organisational procedures. The ideal candidate for this role would also have an interest, including from personal/family experience, in mental health and recovery.

This post is offered on a full-time (36.25 hours) fixed term basis, ending 31/08/24. Arrangements for part-time (minimum 29 hours) or job share would be considered.
