An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the ICT Department’s Enterprise Systems & Data Services team as a software developer.  The team is responsible for data integration and data warehousing development, database administration, identity management and general software development within the University. The team also contributes to the institutions digital strategy and delivers on CI/CD (continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment), test automation, and master data management.

We are looking for 2 highly motivated team players with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.  The successful candidates will be tasked with developing and maintaining the University Data Exchange (UDX) and other systems in a team-based agile development environment utilising the Microsoft .Net framework, C#, Linq, Entity Framework and Microsoft SQL Server.

This will involve writing and maintaining unit tests and aiding in the testing and documentation of new and existing data integrations.  

The post holders will contribute to the design and documentation of any data structures used and write and maintain documentation describing the purpose, structure, mechanisms and specific data flows of each data integration solution.

The post holders will also be required to provide excellent levels of customer service; triaging and adding diagnostic value to support calls assigned to the team whilst monitoring progress against support requests and providing timely and effective customer feedback.

The post holders will seek to actively participate in meetings, stand-ups and training sessions and will be required to gain an understanding of other disciplines within the team: Database Administration, Identity Management and Management Information/Business Intelligence
