Are you a highly motivated qualified joiner/ carpenter with fire door inspection and repair experience? Do you have excellent problem solving skills and a logical approach? Can you provide a high quality joinery service across a diverse University campus comprising a range of properties from historic and listed buildings, through to the more modern structures of today?

You will be a qualified joiner/ carpenter with experience of working onsite, preferably within a similar large and complex environment. You will have a flexible approach to ensure the service being delivered is efficient and effective to meet the needs of a wide portfolio of clients.  You will join our maintenance team that forms part of the Facilities Directorate, which is dedicated to providing a wide range of support services connected with the effective management, development and maintenance of the University.

You will be part of a dedicated fire door team supporting the existing Joinery team, delivering reactive and planned maintenance, where you will be central to delivering the student experience for the University. You will have successfully completed a recognised joinery/ carpentry qualification and apprenticeship and have on-site experience. You will be able to work unsupervised, and on your own initiative, within a large and complex organisation, whilst maintaining a safe working environment for all our staff, students and visitors.
