This is an exciting opportunity to support the development, access, and success of external funding applications. Working with a collaborative and supportive team to help the University identify external funding opportunities, to maximise on our expertise in the local, regional, and international field.

We are looking for a pro-active individual with transferable skills. Experience of supporting externally funded projects, at application stage or project management would be ideal. The role will work with the team to source, disseminate and support the process of external funding applications, the ability to digest and interpret complex documentation is essential. We are looking for candidates who are effective communicators, can work to deadlines under pressure, and have a passion to support the University.

This is a fast-paced dynamic role, with considerable interaction with a diverse range of stakeholders in order to develop effective networks and a flexible support service that responds to the fluctuating nature of funding calls. The post will support our EU and International portfolio, as well as regional and national funding opportunities.

This position is an integral part of our Research and Enterprise department and will lead on gathering intelligence in areas of external income generation, alongside its team. The role will also support the Universities wider Income Generation goals, working with the Business Incubation and Industrial Partnerships Teams, and key contacts in college who lead on income diversification. The role will contribute to the University’s wider goals, particularly the development and delivery of the University’s research and industrial strategy. This will be achieved through pro-active targeting of potential funding sources, the preparation and submission of external funding applications, and stakeholder engagement.
