This role is open to second year University of Leeds students only

Are you a second year University of Leeds student, looking to undertake a work placement year? Do you want to gain an understanding and experience of degree enhancement and extracurricular opportunity? Do you want to gain experience in administration, project development and events management? Are you interested in engaging with fellow students, the education sector, third sector and community organisations?

You will be supporting key streams of work which contribute to University strategic objectives, and core modules, related to student opportunity and engagement. You will contribute to the development and delivery of opportunities within the School of Education which integrates co-curricular events and experience, along with activities with academic excellence and innovation.

Working closely with the School of Education Support Teams and key academic staff to ensure the opportunities we offer meet identified needs, we also work together with Student Careers in order to enhance the employability offer for students. 

You will interact with students, staff and external stakeholders on a daily basis and gain sufficient knowledge and understanding of all areas of Student Opportunity to allow you to discuss and identify student needs and signpost accordingly. You will work flexibly, moving areas of work as necessary to respond to workload peaks, and contribute to and support the Employability and Placements team. This is a great opportunity to create a portfolio of experience to enhance your employability.
