The School of Architecture, Technology and Engineering is looking to appoint a Lecturer to deliver the Humanities modules in our BA(Hons) Architecture and BA(Hons) Interior Architecture courses.  Our Architecture and Interior Architecture courses are well established with a history of excellence in industry-focussed design education and award-winning graduates. 

In order to be successful in this post, you should have a strong understanding of current developments architectural education , and appropriate professional and teaching experience in Architecture and / or Interior Architecture, preferably supported by professional body membership, along with impart an understanding of humanities-based practice through a range of teaching activities.  You should also have knowledge that supports the delivery of a curriculum that spans the historical, cultural, socio-economic, and contemporary aspects of Architecture and Interior Architecture. In addition to which, you should also have:

Strong design skills, and a thorough awareness of the subject area.Good communications skills.A strong understanding of current developments architectural education. An awareness of contemporary Architecture and Interior Architecture practice is essential, including emerging modes of practice and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Our lecturers are expected to actively engage in course administration, student recruitment and additional duties as required for the successful delivery of the courses.   An awareness of contemporary Architecture and Interior Architecture practice is essential, including emerging modes of practice and interdisciplinary collaboration.  The school is particularly keen to appoint lecturers who are research active to support future REF (Research Excellence Framework) submission.

This post permanent, and is full-time (1.0 full-time equivalent), however we welcome job sharing applications.
