This role will be based on the University campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner.   We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

Are you a commercially minded qualified solicitor looking to join an in-house legal services team? Can you you work with senior colleagues to make a significant contribution across a varied range of mainly commercial contract matters?

The role requires a flexible and outcomes orientated approach, working with internal and external stakeholders to achieve our shared goals. Whilst you will report to the University’s Head of Legal Services, your day to day work will mainly be directed by the University’s Commercialisation Team and will  support negotiation, drafting and preparation of legal documentation relating to a varied caseload including University strategic initiatives, the commercialisation of intellectual property (IP) and industry engagement activities.

This is a challenging role, requiring an energetic and self-motivated individual with a can-do attitude. You will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport at all levels in the organisation and the ability to think logically and clearly, work to tight deadlines and to be flexible in your approach to work.
