Applications are invited for the Clinical Skills Teaching Fellow post with the University of Nottingham Medical School and based in the Clinical Skills Unit at Queen’s Medical Centre, University of Nottingham.

The main focus of this role is teaching clinical skills for the early years’ medical students at The University of Nottingham and the postholder will join a dynamic and enthusiastic team responsible for the delivery of clinical skills to Years 1 and 2 medical students within an integrated curriculum.

Applicants must be fully registered doctors who have completed foundation training and hold a current licence to practise with the GMC. The post holder is also required to have satisfactory enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.

The appointee will be expected to work as part of the team within clinical skills with regular teaching commitments and to engage with peer review, and educational opportunities within the School of Medicine.  There will be a contribution towards OSCE examinations, and to online educational resources.  In addition, there will be opportunities for individual research and development of near-peer teaching for the clinical years’ medical students.

This post is part-time (7.7 hours per week), with teaching delivered on Wednesdays throughout the academic year, and is offered on a permanent contract. Job share arrangements may be considered.
