Description :

The University of Hull is the fourteenth oldest university in England; as an internationally engaged, civic institution this strong history is paired with a vibrant and modern outlook. Our colleagues, students and partners have developed a renewed, ambitious and distinctive vision – to shape a fairer, brighter, carbon-neutral future for all and our largest faculty (the Faculty of Health Sciences) continues to innovatively expand and develop at the University of Hull and we are looking to appoint a Team Leader to join the Faculty Executive Engagement Team to support this mission.

The Faculty comprises five schools: School of Nursing and Midwifery, School of Psychology and Social Work, School of Sports, Exercise and Rehabilitation Sciences, School of Paramedical, Peri-Operative and Advanced Practice and the Hull York Medical School which includes the Centre for Biomedicine. The Faculty also contains Research Institutes together with the Hull Health Trials Unit (HHTU) and major research facilities like the Positron Emission Tomography Centre (PETRC).

We are looking for an enthusiastic, adaptable, customer focused and detail-orientated Team Leader to lead the Executive Engagement Team in the Faculty of Health Sciences.

The ideal candidate would share our vision, adopt, and represent the University values incorporating Strategy 2030 with a high level of commitment. The role is varied, but day to day, involves a high level of planning and coordination of a team of administrators based within the Faculty of Health Sciences.

Working in a fast paced, multi-faceted team environment, the candidate must be able to work independently and efficiently whilst offering guidance and support to direct reports. Due to the nature of the work, the candidate must have exceptional written and oral communication skills and act with discretion.

The University of Hull offers exciting career opportunities alongside a wide range of staff benefits, including a generous annual leave allowance, annual increments until you reach the top of your Band, access to a competitive pension scheme with employer contributions and the opportunity to work an agile working pattern on a campus set in beautiful grounds with great facilities.

If you would like to discuss the role informally, please contact Holly Ilett, Deputy Head of Faculty Operations (h.ilett@hull.ac.uk).
