About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Widening Participation Officer to join the Student Recruitment department working with an engaged and committed team and with senior stakeholders across the university. This role enhances our capacity to deliver evidence-based student success initiatives from induction onwards, in response our Access and Participation Plan (APP) targets and strategic aims. 

Working with the Head of Access and Participation, this role will maximise success amongst students from a wide range of underrepresented backgrounds – particularly amongst students at risk of non-continuation and lower than expected degree attainment.

About You

As Widening Participation Officer, you will:

Have experience of project coordination and be organised and able to meet deadlines.Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Be committed to equality of opportunity and supporting a diverse range of students.Work well independently as well as part of a team and be comfortable forming strong working relationships with colleagues across the University.
