Do you want to work for a University and contribute to ensuring a positive student experience? 

This exciting role will be an integral part of the University’s Procurement & Insurance Services team and works closely with University Schools and Departments to deliver positive outcomes. 

You will ensure that University procurement reflects and follows the University’s sustainable procurement policies and procedures, and when working with the University’s suppliers, you will make sure that KPI’s are delivered.

With your previous people management experience, you will manage the efficient processing of procurement’s administrative tasks. This will include using related software and/or information to maximise efficiencies within the department; to advise colleagues on best practise; to identify and maximise the benefits of any systems used; to use systems data to provide insight.

You will need:

•    to effectively contribute to teamwork and work flexibly with others from differing backgrounds, as well as be a self-starter able to use your own initiative.

•    to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues based on openness and respect. 

•    demonstrable and proven experience of procurement practice including tendering and negotiation.

•    IT familiarity and proficient use of work processing and spreadsheet software using Microsoft office particularly Word and Excel and the use of the Web and Outlook.
