Lancaster Medical School (LMS) is a flourishing, innovative and vibrant Division of the Faculty of Health and Medicine, whose guiding principle is to deliver excellence in medical training and health related research. Our highly ranked degree programmes in the areas of medicine and sports and exercise science involve the delivery of research-led teaching and learning to 500+ undergraduate students and a growing population of research and taught postgraduate students.
We wish to appoint a fixed term Clinical Teaching fellow and/or Senior Clinical teaching Fellow in Anatomy to join the medical anatomy teaching team; appointees will be asked to deliver other clinical teaching reflective of their skills and this may include clinical skills, clinical communication skills and to develop and participate in clinical assessments such as OSCEs.
These posts are available for an immediate start and recent retirees who hold GMC registration are welcome to apply.
We are looking for dynamic individuals to join us and become a part of the intellectual and collective life of the school. In return, we can offer you a friendly teaching environment that strongly supports the individual needs of each employee and actively promotes a healthy work-life balance. The faculty is committed to family-friendly and flexible working policies and has held a Silver Athena SWAN award since 2014 in recognition of its good employment practice undertaken to address gender equality in higher education and research. LMS is committed to ensuring our workforce is reflective of our diverse student population and is therefore committed to increasing representation of racially minoritised staff across all roles and at all levels.
The university’s campus is located on the outskirts of the historic market town of Lancaster, which is also easily accessible from major cities in the NW of England. The Lake District and other areas of stunning beauty are on the University’s doorstep. The University provides an environment that strongly supports the individual needs of each employee, whilst promoting the importance of wellbeing for all our colleagues. We have a range of support networks available for our employees, and more information on these can be found on the ‘Working at Lancaster’ information page.
