Overview of the Role

Research Technician 

Can you provide technical support to research projects and do you have extensive laboratory experience which includes skills in multiplex assay development, flow cytometry and tissue culture?

This post is part funded from a senior fellowship and an MRC grant awarded to Professor Sinisa Savic. The aim of the research programme is to investigate the role of post-zygotic, somatic mutations in the pathogenesis of immune mediated inflammatory diseases with a particular focus on newly discovered VEXAS syndrome. The post holder will be working closely with two Postdoctoral Research Fellows, two PhD students to deliver objectives of this project. The post holder will be expected to provide technical support for the research group, assisting with and developing various laboratory methodologies needed for the delivery of the project. The post holder will be expected to have prior experience in using/developing fluorescent activated cell sorting (FACS) to separate and characterise various cell fractions, multiplex assay application for cytokine evaluation, DNA and RNA extraction and in tissue culture.
