We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, proactive person to join our team who can deliver timely and high-quality technical support within the School of Pharmacy. This a permanent, full-time post (36.25 hours per week). Job share opportunities may be considered.

About the role 

You will support and maintain the provision of key technical services across the School of Pharmacy.Assist in the management of a team of teaching technicians who prepare practical classes, covering drug design, analysis, and sterile production.Oversee the day-to-day running of the teaching laboratories and professional training spaces. Provide expert technical support and guidance in the use of equipment and specialist techniques essential for teaching.Ensure all lab users comply with local health and safety arrangements and monitor the completion of monthly lab inspections.Oversee and support the completion of risk assessments and standard operating procedures, ensuring these are readily available for all.Conduct the routine maintenance and cleaning.

About you:

You will have experience working in a technical role and will be educated to at least HNC or equivalent or have equivalent working experience in a relevant technical or scientific role. You have skills and experience in problem solving. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate a complex information with clarity.
