Applications are invited for the above post based at the Medical School, Queens Medical Centre

We are seeking a highly motivated person who will join the established team led by Prof Dorothee Auer (NIHR Nottingham BRC Imaging theme lead), Prof Paul Morgan and Prof Rob Dineen (Clinical Translation and Radiomics Subtheme leads). This is supported by members of the School of Computer Science including Prof Phil Quinlan (Director of Health Informatics and University of Nottingham lead in the Health Data Research Midlands group), Prof Andrew French (Professor of Computer Science, AI in Biosciences), and Dr Xin Chen (Associate Professor of Computer Science, expertise in developing modern artificial intelligence methods to medical image analysis), as well as researchers in the Sir Peter Mansfield Imaging Centre (SPMIC). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing image analysis expertise in clinical translational research studies.  They will support the implementation and clinical evaluation of innovative image analysis methods for research into precision medicine approaches.  They will play a key role in liaising with partners to support the implementation of AI and other novel image analysis tools in secure trusted research environments (TREs), supported by senior members of the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Nottingham Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) Imaging and Informatics themes.

Candidates must have a PhD in relevant subject area and experience in research area or near to completion of a PhD.

The post will be offered on a fixed term contract 36 months. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours) ; however applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week). Please specify in your application if you wish to work part time and the number of preferred hours. Job share arrangements may be considered. The hours and days of work will be Monday to Friday.
