The University’s IT Service, iSolutions, are looking for the right people to deliver projects that change how the University uses IT to work. We need experienced and dynamic Senior Project Managers to deliver our IT projects. If that’s you, then we would love to hear from you.

We deliver a full range of IT services to all staff and students and this role will join our IT Portfolio community. We run a wide range of projects and programmes to improve our current services and transform the staff and student experience to a diverse community of 23,000+ students and over 5,500 University staff.

About the Roles

These key roles are required to project manage a major upgrade being carried out on the university’s wired and wireless network. The project is a result of a £41 million investment which is expected to take 3 years to complete.  Working with a third-party technical supplier, you’ll be part of a team that will deliver a replacement for all existing network switch and access points as well as deliver security enhancements across all areas. 

What you’ll do: 

Be the workstream lead to deliver the new network and Wi-Fi solution into all University buildings. Proactively work with a wide range of the University’s community to ensure a smooth and effective programme of deployment.Be responsible for working with the Estates team, internal technical teams, and the third-party solution provider to ensure that all access requests and delivery processes are followed.

What you’ll bring:

The ability to plan, maintain and document a tight schedule of delivery across at least 250 buildings.  The ability to work and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.A good high-level understanding of current networking technology and its delivery. The integrity required to work with both commercially sensitive and personally identifiable information.A proactive attitude to navigate change and challenges.
