The development of humanity is linked to its exploitation of natural resources. The demographic explosion and the imperatives of the consumer society have pushed it into overexploitation and generated inexorable climate change. Natural resources and biodiversity are degraded and climatic stress is weakening ecosystems. There is an urgent need to reorient development in respect and conservation of our land. This congress aims to bring together scientists who have developed innovative and eco-responsible strategies and highlighted specific adaptive mechanisms that could be exploited to meet the needs of human activities while preserving resources, biodiversity and the climate.
Topics: Biodiversity and functioning of natural ecosystems, Biotechnology and valorization, Management and restoration, Climate change, Change and continuity in the genus Homo: resilience and adaptation
