Polymers offer enormous opportunities towards newer applications in technologically important areas. There is a great necessity to have an integral approach towards this complementary relationship of polymers and their performance. These polymeric materials have shown multidirectional growth in several areas of technological innovations, which ranges from the biomedical polymers to the fascinating field of smart materials. A precise understanding of the molecular architecture and its role in governing physical characteristics is extremely useful to understand their applications. The world of polymers is fascinating & innovative and requires a great deal of interaction and discussion among the scientic community. This conference on polymers is proposed to exchange information on new dimensions in such application areas. Asian Polymer Association APA is a professional society dedicated to the science of polymers. APA is celebrating its 10 years of dynamic existence and this conference is being organized as the Jubilee celebrations of the society. APA in collaboration with Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India, Society for Biomaterials & Articial Organs India, Delhi and Indo Italian Forum is organizing International conference APA2017 on Advances in Polymer Science & Technology to address the priorities and to formulate the action plan to face the challenges ahead. The conference would be dedicated to the polymer science and technology with an extensive interaction among academicians, researchers, technologists and policy planners. A special feature of this event is to organize Student Conclave for the benefit for our young generation. We are sure that this conference would provide us required impetus in generating polymer resource for the country.
