Quantum biology is emerging as a promising synthesis of quantum science and technology with the complexity of biological systems. Quantum coherent effects in photosynthetic light harvesting and the radical-pair mechanism of biological magnetic sensing, tunneling effects in olfaction, coherent electron transport in biochemical reactions, biomimetic quantum technology for sustainable energy sources are only few of the directions explored by quantum biology.

The 12th QuEBS workshop aims to bring together an interdisciplinary group of researchers like quantum physicists, biologists, biophysicists and biochemists, physical chemists in order to communicate the latest findings in this exciting new field and promote scientific interactions.
